Hello! My name is Rubitah and I’m an ordinary woman, living an ordinary life in the Kingdom of Bahrain, a place not so far away, from my home country, India.
From a very young age, I knew that I was the happiest when I was involved in activities that made a difference in people’s lives.
It was after becoming a Social Work professional, however, that I realized my strengths lie in being an enabler, a motivator and in kick-starting initiatives meant for good.
That’s when I landed up with a job in the area of corporate social responsibility and volunteering. It brought meaning and clarity to my purpose. From meeting people of different capacities to campaigning for causes- I had some great experiences in that role.
Three years later, I got married to Arun- a dynamic person, and my best friend. I truly believe that he is God’s fancy way of getting me closer to being a good human being. In 2016, came along my baby boy, Steve, who by God’s grace, is an absolute joy to everyone around him. Life has been great!
Only that life isn’t that always smooth (is it ever?)
Marriage needs forgiveness,
motherhood needs patience,
faith needs focus
and a lost career needs perspective.
Struggles come and go, along with life’s beautiful milestones, giving more strength and renewed peace. Honestly? Love and prayers have carried me through.
If you relate to this, you will probably enjoy the posts on this blog.

Some fun facts about me:
My name Rubitah means “a jewel of grace” although it wasn’t really created for this meaning. I will tell you this story if and when you reach out to me.:P
In 2020 I got my Christmas book (e-book and paperback) published- my first ever product. It’s called “Around the Christmas table” and has weekly Advent devotions, daily Christian affirmations, Indian family traditions for Christmas, Christmas special recipes and a few games. You can learn more about the book here.
It took a local supermarket to get me back to my senses during COVID-19
People generally find me serious but I can be really funny amidst my dear ones. (It’s true!)
I have tried the intermittent fasting way for weight loss and this is how it turned out.
My favourite authors are Jane Austen and L.M Montgomery for the simple reason that they give me so much joy in their characters!
In 2019 I recorded a 50-day Lenten Devotion series called “Pause for the Cross” for the Indian Orthodox Radio. You can listen to them here.
I honestly believe that people have the capacity to be good human beings but we all get caught between loving ourselves and doing the right thing.
My next project is to get my mother to write a book. She writes beautiful stories, drawn from her childhood experiences. You can find some of them here.
Well, that’s me. I hope I will get to know more about you as well.
